Shang-Chi, a Marvel Comics character, is a master of Kung Fu. Born in China as the son of the immortal crime lord Zheng Zu (originally Fu Manchu, later retconned), Shang-Chi was raised and trained in martial arts from birth, believing his father to be a benevolent humanitarian.
Upon discovering his father's true evil nature, Shang-Chi rebelled and dedicated his life to fighting his father's criminal empire. He rejected the life of assassination he was groomed for and sought to use his skills for good.
Over the years, Shang-Chi has worked with various superhero teams, including the Avengers, Heroes for Hire, and MI-6.
